The CHARIHO Regional School District will receive sealed proposals/bids for the following: .

RICHMOND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL INTERCOM PROJECT

All interested bidders must register on the Chariho School District website, www.chariho.k12.ri.us/central_administration/business_office/bids  Contact information given during registration will be used for emailing all subsequent notices and addenda.

Due to the current circumstances, a pre-bid meeting will not be scheduled. However, any bidder interested in visiting the site prior to submitting a bid may do so by contacting the Director of Buildings and Maintenance Jason Sullivan [email protected] . Richmond Elementary School is located at 190 Kingstown Road, Richmond, RI 02898. Pre-bid site visits should be scheduled prior to Monday, June 8, 2020. The bidder’s representative must register with the Chariho Regional School District and identify the bidder he or she represents.

General proposals/bids shall be received and opened publicly at the office of the Director of Administration and Finance, 455A Switch Road, Wood River Junction, Rhode Island, at 10:00 AM, on Monday, June 15, 2020 for the RICHMOND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL INTERCOM PROJECT. Proposals/Bids received after the stipulated time shall not be accepted.

All proposals/bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes marked “Richmond Elementary School Intercom Project”.

Bidding documents in the form of Drawings and Project Manual, may be obtained beginning Monday, June 1, 2020 by contacting Kathy Koziol, [email protected]

Questions should be emailed to both the Architect ([email protected] ) as well as the Chariho Director of Administration and Finance (Susan Rogers [email protected] ) Questions will be answered as formal addenda to be posted no later than (4) days prior to the Bid Due Date.

Bid security, in the amount of 5 percent of the proposal, must accompany each proposal in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond (AIA Document A312), each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price.

It is expected that a contract (AIA A101) will be executed between the General Contractor and Owner within seven (7) days following notice of the acceptance of bid by the Owner. The General Contractor shall agree to commence work within seven (7) days upon award of contract.

The planned date of Substantial Completion is August 28, 2020.

The School District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part thereof, or to accept any bids or any part thereof, or to waive any technical defect or any informalities of the bid and to award the contract to other than the lowest bidder if the evidence submitted by or investigation of such a bidder fails to satisfy the School District that such bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the contract and to satisfactorily complete the work contemplated therein. The School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any technical defect or informality in the bids received, and to accept any of the bids deemed most favorable to the interest of the School District. No proposals/bids may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) calendar days subsequent to the date of the proposal/bid opening.
